Some say I have ADD/ADHD and since I have not been officially diagnosed I prefer to think of it as an overactive mind overflowing with ideas and dreams. Also, on several occasions I've fallen into the category of not wanting to do something because everyone else is doing it and when I realize they are, I stop. I'm not sure why, I've been that way ever since I can remember...which may not be long since I have memory issues.
So why blog? Everybody blogs. Don't I realize that yet? Well about those memory issues. I have both long term and short term memory issues. I call them issues because yet again, no official diagnosis. I'm pretty sure everyone I know is aware of these memory issues. I remember odd facts, the details of events that happened that no one else seems to recall or random birthdays but not what I ate for lunch, what happened yesterday or names of familiar faces that I know. Example: I remember the Henderson Hasselbalch equation that I learned while studying for the MCAT. Nope I'm not a doctor but I know that pH = pKa + log multiplied by the conjugate base divided by the conjugate acid.
Some of my hobbies last what seems like five seconds and others come and go and come back again. Gardening is one of those that is coming back again. This is my third year trying to successfully grow tomatoes. By successfully I mean actually getting tomatoes to grow on the plant. I've sprouted plants from seeds but never actually grown a tomato. Well technically I had two grow last year but didn't realize it until they were long gone, just hanging there on the vine, dead. Maybe I shouldn't have given up on that hobby quite so soon.
